Compulsive, impulsive nightowl Dusty was born, bred and raised on radio. His father worked as a radio engineer who kept showing his eldest son the in's and out's of how radios worked. He was probably disappointed when Dustys only interest was in the voice coming out of the speaker.

Weekend and holiday jobs on pirate stations led to Dusty's first "big" job with Sunshine 101, the biggest "super-pirate" in Dublin in the late 80's. As the pirates closed in 1989, a massive new station was just about to launch pumping hits into the UK from a mammoth transmitter near Trim, Co Meath. Dusty was the first DJ hired by that station which signed on as Atlantic 252.

The next move was a dream one when he got a call he'd been waiting a lifetime for to join national broadcaster RTE 2FM. He was best known for presenting the Hotline / Most Wanted programmes and breaking the 100,000 listener mark for the first time ever for an early evening programme. However there was more to dj'ing in RTE as Dusty perfected his production skills and got involved with the internet early on launching the stations first website in the early 90s.

After ten hugely successful years, Dusty saw an opening in the Irish market for high quality syndicated radio programmes and left RTE to set up Digital Audio Productions. The company has been another huge success winning multiple PPI Radio Awards and being nationally recognised as Irelands leading provider of independent radio programmes.

So what of the future? "Digital Radio and the Internet" says Dusty. "Bring it on!"
