Awards

Digital Audio Productions are proud to be a multi Award Winning Company.

The PPI Radio Awards are sponsored by Phonographic Performance Ireland and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland and held at a gala event attended each year by over 700 people form the radio industry in Ireland and the UK.

The awards recognise the contribution of Irish radio to the record industry in Ireland and the Broadcasting Commission’s strategy to promote excellence in broadcasting. It is considered critical to the development of the sector that the achievements of programme makers are acknowledged and saluted. The Awards are firmly established as the most sought-after accolade in Irish radio broadcasting.

Digital Audio Productions are the only independent radio producers ever to win at the PPI Awards. In 2004 our Top 40 Oifigiúil na hÉireann Chart Show won Best Music Progamme Specialist Award and in 2006 our CGI Computers Games Internet series for RTE Radio One picked up the Award for Best Speech Programme Specialist.

In 2008 we enjoyed two nominations at the Irish Web Awards. The first for our All 80s interactive digital radio website and the second for our PC Live Radio Show.

This year another of our online radio programmes The Craic with Ian Dempsey is a Finalist at the Digital Media Awards 2009 in the Best Independent Mediacast category. We are particularly proud of this as the category was dominated by online video projects and The Craic was the only audio podcast nominated. The awards take place in Dublin on February 13th.
